Foreign and Polish languages<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The Polish language course for foreigners<\/strong> studying Biotechnology and Medical Biotechnology in English is compulsory<\/strong> from the winter semester of the first year and ends with an exam certifying language proficiency.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Polish language course for BSc<\/strong> students lasts 60 hours<\/strong>, and ends with an exam certifying language proficiency at the level of at least A1<\/strong> (a student receives 5 ECTS<\/strong>). Optionally, a foreign student studying BSc may attend a foreign (excluding English) language course (60-h limit)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Polish citizens <\/strong>studying Biotechnology in English earns 4 ECTS<\/strong> for completing 60 hours<\/strong> of foreign language course (obligatory<\/strong>, language other than English<\/strong>; no specified level). Additionally\/optionally, student may continue course (however, before signing up for a language course, you must declare how many hours you plan to take) or attend other language course (60-h limit)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Polish language course for MSc<\/strong> students lasts 60 hours<\/strong> (2 semesters, 2×30 h) and ends with an exam certifying language proficiency at the level of at least A1<\/strong> (a student earns 5 ECTS<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The B2+ English\u00a0<\/strong>language course is compulsory for all students<\/strong>\u00a0studying Medical Biotechnology<\/strong> starting from the winter semester of the first year (60 hours<\/strong>). For passing the exam certifying language proficiency, a student receives 4 ECTS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Foreign Students may take the exam certifying language proficiency at a proper or higher level at an earlier term<\/strong> than provided in their study schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Polish citizens, who do not speak Polish may attend Polish language classes under the same rules as foreigners. These circumstances require the permission of the program coordinator (Dr Magdalena Zaremba-Czogalla).<\/p>\n\n\n
