The first and second stages of thesis conclude with a discussion of progress and an indication of possible corrections and next steps. <strong>The materials submitted by the student at each stage constitute the elements of the bachelor\u2019s seminar credit and provide documentation of the course of preparation of the thesis.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bachelor\u2019s thesis defense<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The thesis defense includes a presentation of the thesis, questions about the thesis and questions from the list of issues.<\/strong> The presentation is prepared independently by the student, the supervisor does not verify the quality of the presentation. The list is announced every academic year, usually in early December. Students individually contact supervisors and may be accepted (depending on current topic availability, student limits in the Department or other reasons).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are particularly interested in a certain topic or area, you contact in advance an academic teacher with a request to supervise your BSc thesis. If s\/he agrees, you can discuss the topic, which will be included in the list of topics, as selected by you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to be supervised by the academic teacher from outside The Faculty of Biotechnology you have to submit an&nbsp;<strong>APPLICATION<\/strong>&nbsp;in accordance with the&nbsp;<strong>RULES FOR PERFORMING\/WRITING DIPLOMA THESIS OUTSIDE THE FACULTY OF BIOTECHNOLOGY<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The 2nd step<\/strong>&nbsp;is to submit your decision on topic choice to the Dean\u2019s Office (unless you have selected topic before announcement of the list of topics and your name is already listed). The grade should be issued prior to the summer exam session, so don\u2019t delay your writing until summer, even if you\u2019re planning your defence in September. Dates for diploma exams are announced in May and you should discuss the possible dates.&nbsp;<strong>The application for the diploma exam must be submitted 21 days before the planned date of the defense at the latest<\/strong>. If the result is acceptable, s\/he approves the thesis and submits it for review. The review and evaluation are uploaded in APD by both, the supervisor and the reviewer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The 7th step<\/strong>&nbsp;is to submit to the Dean\u2019s Office\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At least&nbsp;<strong>3 working days before<\/strong>&nbsp;the date of diploma exam Students are obliged to submit to the Dean\u2019s office the following documents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>a. request for&nbsp;<strong>additional information to the supplement<\/strong>,<br>b.&nbsp;<strong>statement<\/strong>&nbsp;that s\/he verified all grades and ECTS credits earned and required by the appropriate study programme,<br>c. library card,<br>d.&nbsp;<strong>clearance slip<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to submitting to the Dean\u2019s Office the above set of documents, a fee of 60 PLN must be paid on the individual student\u2019s account which can be found in the USOS system (applies only to students who started education at UWr before the 2018\/2019 academic year).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>e.&nbsp;<strong>REQUEST FOR THE DIPLOMA IN ENGLISH<\/strong>. The commission includes the chairman, your supervisor, and the reviewer. The final grade for the diploma consists of the average grade from the studies, the grade for the BSc diploma thesis and the grade for the diploma examination.
