Biotechnology students have access to modern, well-equipped laboratories. Our lecturers are experts in the field of biotechnology and have extensive experience in both scientific research and industrial practice. The faculty\u2019s research activities are closely linked to the teaching program and the best students are given the opportunity to actively participate in research projects. To develop their interests, students can join student science clubs. The graduate of the first-cycle studies in biotechnology has advanced knowledge in biochemistry, molecular and cell biology and related areas, is able to apply this knowledge in biotechnology, is prepared to work in the laboratory, design scientific experiments, apply appropriate experimental methods and analyse the results.<br>The graduates can choose from a wide range of career opportunities: research and development, pharmaceutical, food and agricultural industries, healthcare, clinical diagnostics, clinical research, environmental protection, biomedical engineering, scientific services and equipment supply.
