Students’ Scientific Association
At the Faculty of Biotechnology, we have the most amazing student society at the University of Wrocław – the “Przybysz” Biotechnology Students’ Scientific Association! Our society brings together people with a passion for biotechnology who want to share that passion with the world and understand how important this mission is.
What we do?
1. Science popularisation
As a student society, we organize and run classes and workshops for high school students at our Faculty. We also take part in events open to the residents of Wrocław and prepare educational activities for younger children. Sharing knowledge is not only rewarding but also essential. As future scientists, we want to raise public awareness of biotechnology and its importance in the modern world.
2. Organizing the International Scientific Conference “BioLOCK”
In collaboration with the SKN “Cortex”, we have been organizing this conference for the past three years. It attracts students from across Poland as well as researchers from all over Europe. We create a space for exchanging ideas and scientific experiences, where students can develop their interests and take their first steps in the world of research.
3. Managing Our Instagram Account
We promote our society and popularize science online as well. Follow us on Instagram: @sknb_przybysz_uwr.
4. Growth and Development
Our society is growing rapidly! We apply for funding to support our scientific projects and actively seek partnerships with companies in the biotechnology sector. We are ambitious and always striving to achieve more.
