The main research areas at the Faculty of Biotechnology:
Cancerogenesis and anti-cancer therapy: oncogenesis,
metastasis, signalling pathways, cancer environment, immunomodulation,
therapeutic proteins, protein drug conjugates, antibody drug conjugates,
nuclear receptors in anticancer therapy, carriers of anticancer drugs,
lipids and membrane rafts in cancer.
Protein biochemistry and engineering: protein modifications, protein structural studies, protein stability, protein design, glycosylation, metal binding proteins, growth factors and their receptors, nanobiosensors photoactivation, photosynthetic proteins, heme-binding proteins, protein-membrane interactions, protein-protein interaction.
